ABOUT THE ARTIST
Self-taught artist, Sarah Schryver was born in 1991 and raised in the Interior of British Columbia. She has always had an artistic background and draws much of her inspiration from early western influences.
Being a bootmaker’s daughter, Sarah made her first pair of western boots at an early age. During her teen years she began riding for a professional horse trainer, as well as competing in reining, working cowhorse, team roping and ranch horse versatility.
Sarah currently resides in British Columbia’s Thompson-Nicola and remains devoted to portraying the western lifestyle through her charcoal art in a unique and contemporary manner.
Sarah's work has been internationally awarded and can be seen in both western and fine art magazines, as well as worldwide private collections.
